I'm using Hitfilm for my editing and VFX now and it's removed the need to use mods to achieve many kinds of effects. I was wondering if anyone would find tutorials on stuff like basic green-screening, masking, sky replacement, etc. useful enough that I should make videos on them as I work.

Any interest in Hitfilm tutorials?

I did not expect that favorable a response! Okay, it shall be done. Once I finish the second episode of "Gangs of Chicago" I'll whip up the first one on chroma-keying, which is pretty much the most important tool in the box.

Just a li'l update, now that Gangs of Chicago Ep. 2 is done. I'll be doing a couple of tutorials on chroma keying and constructing simple static shots over the next week or so.

I've got topics for my next couple of videos, but without knowing what people would like to see, I'm kinda shooting in the dark. If there are any particular tips or tricks you want me to cover, post them here.
My current topic list includes;
- Day to Night: Using color correction to fix the lack of lighting on the blue screen set
- Luminance Keys and Sky Replacement
- Color Difference Keys, Part II: The basics of merging footage
- Altering shots with layer effects
- Set dressing without mods
