It's down to one..yes, the role of Gina has been exquisitely given life by Sonya Blu. Outstanding rendition.

So.....that leaves one...Nick.

I've been sending emails to contacts I know about the role of Nick. So far, nothing. I'll keep you updated.

Update!!

Thanks TPK, I got a response and I sent the script....waiting for some VO goodness....:001_smile:

On a somewhat related note, should this new addition to the cast be successful, I should be able to finally post the TANK Poster with the entire cast on it.....

The first half of the movie is pre-vized and I got a good start on the second...things are rolling along at a nice pace...

As promised a bit-o-update™  :)

 

Here is a pre-viz of scene0001-shot0001.

As you can see, all the actors and sets are placeholders, used only for getting the camera angles, the timing and just a basic visual style. From here it will go through several iterations, getting closer to the final look...well, time to get back to work.

Update!!

 

Still fussing between Pre-Viz and Asset Development. Getting better at timing the movie scenes.And from time to time I go over the list of props needed and sets and what-nots..its a long list.

 

This morning I woke up with a dreadful realization.... my current model for the TANK is not suitable for this version of the movie..oh noes!!!... oh well. I found a model that Stvndsn had made a long time ago and I decided that was perfect.

So I got it to a level of detail that was appropriate, made the materials and textures and finagled with the Blender Physics engine to get a tarp draped over it.

And this is what I ended up with.

PRODUCTION UPDATE(where the #!##$@?#@? is the %?###& caps lock key again?)

 

...I was just looking at porn, stalking dairie faeries, muscle cramps,....... google images of my cast for Tank to make promos and get ideas for the character's looks, getting the whole thing in a better shape in my mind, if not on film...then I see an image of RPO, Macwemyss and Biz (dude got to get some weight and and what's with the blue skin?) as the film without words judges and then.... BrainFArt!!

 

(Segway..the style, not the psudo-hoverboard-of-doom) Make Human just got out with Version 1.1 and it is getting a lot better at making digital characters and soooooooooooooooooooo.............(End of Segway...zoomCRASH!!!........Outchy!!)

 

I still need a voice for Nick. RPO would fit the bill to a T. I sent him the script in another thread...(with a text that looks very copy and paste)

 

Anywho

 

There Is MORE!!!!

 

While looking at above pictures it dawned on me that it would be fun to have the cast look like The Cast. (see where i'm going here?) A good , high res profile and front view picture would be great.

 

If not no biggy, I can stalk find low res similarly, maybe forged versions of someone who might happen to look somewhat like you...

I sure do, Here ya go the whole pack (at least it should be) Ecto1_B00, Traps, Ghostbuster HQ, Suits and accesories, Mr Staypuff and the PKE Scanner.

Update time again!!

 

For all of you who thaught this project had sunk again in a perpetual oblivion, fear not.

I have been pretty busy in RL, that's true and I was going to take a vacation soon...yeah right , like that's gonna happen....anywho

 

I have been pushing my time management to it's limit. I got back into set dressing the arcade model, got into lots of tweaking of the base textures and some lighting setups, more material tweaking and a host of other details: cycles render optimization, layer management, sound effects, the list keeps growing.

 

I've also been looking into getting into our brand new motion capture suit and getting recorded for a lot of the animation, also got a few performers that are interested in the project as well. I'm stoked.

These are a few of the render tests for the arcade set. A lot of lighting options being explored as well as set dressing, actor placement , camera angles, etc... making a movie from scratch is very time consuming, makes me want to just get back into TM and......nononononooooo...not gonna start that argument again, as tempting as it is.

 

Waiting to hear what RPO is gonna come up for Nick, I'm sqweeing like a little girl on the inside...and maybe on the outside at times  :D

Yup, all Blender cycles rendering. Some of the models are proxies to cut down on render time (the beige/brown ones). It is coming along slowly, most of the final props are done. Animation has hit a few bumps. Mostly from my lack of time to get in the suit and try stuff. Otherwise it would have been done a long time ago. Mo-cap has come a long way in the last year. I'll post a behind the scene vid when I get in the studio.

Will you be doing the whole movie in Blender?  SOrry I looked back through this thread and never really understood what software you would be using but the inclusion of mocap makes me think the it will all be done in Blender.
