Its been a while. Sorry. I'll try to catch up quick.

March 2013

Director of Photography (live) - Excellent live action film with great acting, great camerawork and a dose of philosophical cleverity (yea, I said cleverity).

Sync (MS) - March was a Bongoman bonanza (see Hobo with a Shotgun) but Sync is one of my favorite Bongo movies. Perversely mellow and laid back with an air of menace the protagonist here has the perfect Oscar the Grouch/blue collar voice. Completely unique and original story with Bongo acid trip music floating under everything. Crisp visuals and stuff you've likely never seen done before with Moviestorm. I would add BongoMan to the shortlist of TMU Auteurs - Movie of the Month!

April 2013

Dreamness - Machinima (1080p) (SL)
-
Robots striking poses, jellyfish murking about and everything grooving to a disco poetry beat. Put it on the highest resolution, go full screen and enjoy.

The Obligation (IC) - Amazing detail in both the interior and exteriors sets and great voice overs. GregSin keeps pumping out these intricately made, well written tales of sincerity and niceness. I spend half the time watching them and the other half wondering about how much work must go into each one.

The Betterment of Mankind (MS) - A Battle between an internet troll and a Jacob Marley hell bent on manners. Hilarious back and forth and an ending that left me ROFLing. This month sarcasm wins out over sincerity (but the battle rages on). Movie of the Month!

MAY 2013

Zombie Paul (IC) - Zombie dance contest meme. Cute and well made.

To Love Who? ™ - Dreamy, surreal but a bit unfocused. Fun to look at. Hard to grasp (or maybe its just me).

The Hills Have Eyes 3 - Great moviemaking ability is evident in this fanfiction slasher flick.

The Amazing Adventures of Young Tesla #2 (IC) - Mark puts his craft on display once again in part 2 of this scifi serial. Tesla is ripe with invention and artistry. Movie of the Month!

Wrath (Live) - Creepy little tale of serial killers and things even worse.

Chronicles of Humanity - S2E8 END (MS) - This season Finale features a boatload of space battles and excellent effects. Big ups on the voice acting as well. Finishes the episode with a good dose of shock and awe. Movie of the Month

Miami Heat Trailer (TM + mixed) - A huge grab bag of action, explosion, 1000 bullet goodness. Dont know if my expectations for the feature film are too high but its a fine trailer anywho.

Enigma - Episode 3 "An Eye for an Eye" (MS) - Feels like a campfire tale in space with plenty of good production values and good voice acting. Movie of the Month!

Two People ™ - Hi def rumination on dark thoughts and bad deeds. Great editing and acting.

TMUnderground Promo ™ - Excellent take on the promo videos with an ending that left me smiling like an idiot.

Invaded Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (IC) - A six episode invasion story with great effects and set design, cool characters and an interesting story. With a new episode every week this was a must see viewing event for the community. Movie of the Month!

October 2013

Reckonings (IC) - Perfect dust bowl settings and some really impressive actions scenes to boot (the car chase scene is one of the best Ive seen in Iclone).

Amazing Discoveries (IC) - Such an amazingly realistic rendering you would think it was a true big budget production. Visually outstanding!

The Plague ™ - The plot careens amusingly out of control with HomeMadeEye at the wheel. Shenanigans aplenty.

Falling Rain ™ - Chris62's Halloween Fest winner is plenty creepy with lots of audio and hi-def detail. Movie of the Month!

2014 wasn't a particularly good year but it was a fast one. Damn, I haven't updated this in a long time. Time to get back up on that horse.

December 2013

The Bending Dial (Live Action) - The ambitious scope and nifty plot of this live action time travel tale overshadows the occasional awkward dialog.

On the Run (GTA4) - Short GTA4 machinima with a simple but effective story

The Tunnel under the World (MS) - Here is a Moviestorm production created to go hand in hand with an old X minus 1 radio broadcast. The audio and visuals match each other suprisingly well with the sometimes stiff animations and simple scene transitions adding to the fun cheesiness. Keyword here is fun. Movie of the Month

January 2014

Portobello (muvizu) - Music video with very good performance synchronization and solid, fun original music.

Midway of Mysteries (IC) - Detailed world building and far too short for my tastes. I could spend days on the midway...

Viva La Chicken ™ - Understated stoner fried chicken story. Fun voices, wacky story, murderous chickens. Movie of the Month!

February 2014

Holy Shiznit ™ - This is oldschool, madcap moddery fun. A silly, fun story, some great visuals. Wonderful!

Indiana Jones andc the Time Stone - Episode 1 (IC) - The cartoony style of the characters really adds to this solid piece of fan fiction.

Godiva (IC) - A hell of a scifi film with visuals and camerawork/editing strong enough to carry on without the dialogue. The classical piece of music adds a sense of wonder and horror. Movie of the Month!

A Bushranger in Texas Part 3 (MS) - Dont call it a comeback (ok its a comeback) for Grey Dingo as he transitions The Bushranger series to Moviestorm. The camera flies around like a hummingbird and theres enough fun characters here to hang your hat upon. Movie of the Month!

April 2014

Afterlife City: Chapter 3 (MS) - A fine chapter of good crime story with voice actors good enough to make you take notice even though the language is foriegn to my ears (German with Subtitles). Movie of the Month!

May 2014

Kill Jerry ™ - Nasty male prostitutes, sword swinging Cows and a nefarious 6 foot Rabbit villian make up this rather clever parody of Kill Bill with great action editing. Missed this the first time through. Enjoyed it now. Movie of the Month!

Battle of the Augments (IC) - A fun and colorful short featuring interesting character design and amusing voice performances (amusing to imagine biggsy telling jetcitywoman to moan and grunt a bit louder).

The Life of Living Nightmares ™ - BeetleJuice meets the classic monster movies of long ago. Big cast, big ambitions, big movie.

Fight Girl - Fight! (IC) - Another outstanding short from Rene Jacob featuring the same trio from MindVacation in a very different scenario. Well crafted action scenes, beautiful imagery and top notch sound design make for a short classic. Movie of the Month!

Lana Del Ray - Old Money (IC) - A very good music video with a distinct story, style and talent bursting at the seams. Rene is a mighty fine director.

Standup (MS) - Unique as a live performance imagined and created through Moviestorm. The comedy is as good as you might encounter on an open night (likely better), the animation and character movements are fluid, sets and camerawork are all solid. Feels different and memorable which are rare traits. Movie of the Month!

Dream Reality (IC) - Short take on the luck of a small island castaway

On the Run Again (GTA4)- German GTA4 heist film with subtitles. Standard story but the visuals shine.

After the Dead (IC)
-
Super ambitious and well written zombie fauxumentary with an immense cast, stylish (at times artsy) imagery, easter eggs galore and an effectively creepy story. Movie of the Month!

TES IV: Oblivian - The Escape (VideoGame) - Really good old school machinima skills on hand. The story sticks close to the game story but its all told very cinematically and its a really fun ride.

Bones (Live Action) - A Scream-esque quickie with good direction and sound design. FallenThomas goes to school.

Viva La Cow ™ - Grindhouse fast food war with mods galore and more amusements than Coney Island. Who's got two thumbs and enjoys watching Grimace take an exaggerated poop before getting offed by a chicken? This Guy! Movie of the Month!

Do Not Lead Us into Temptation (Sims 3) - Stylish, dark and spooky Sims ghost story.

The Coroner - Opening Scenes (DAZ) - Super professional looking daz project featuring robots of the dystopian future. Great filmmaking. Woulda won the month but for its incompleteness.

Santa Banter (MS) - A laid back tall tale of Xmas glory and debauchery. Nahton tells the best stories that go nowhere but give you an excellent ride. Movie of the Month!
